APV Meeting

ACPELIA hosted this APV meeting for the Youth Exchange Peheli 4all ""Peace starts within, spread it through healthy living!" on the 8th of November 2024 at Hylatio Tourist Village, the same accommodation where the Youth Exchange itself will take place.

Hosted by President of organization ACPELIA Mr. Nikolas Nikolaou, present in the APV were the leaders from Cyprus, Romania, Moldova, Lebanon, Belarus, Lithuania, Hungary and Ukraine.

During this meeting on the 8th of November, the following took place

• Full rundown of the upcoming deadlines, including participant selection, logo contest deadlines, and rules and specific requirements for preparation activities.

• Understanding the full logistics of travel, as well as the hosting venue, materials, activity room.

• Presentation and opening of this very website of the Youth Exchange.

• Discussing contracts and singing them upon careful readings and rundown.

• Health and safety measures for all participants, from the moment of their travel to the moment of their return home.

After this meeting, the leaders are all now well-equipped and prepared to support the participants from each respective country. This also includes all participants with fewer opportunities who may require special consideration and changes to accommodate them. Notably, two participants from the republic of Moldova will be participants with low or no vision with accompanying persons with them. As such the activities organized and hosted by the facilitators will accommodate them, especially by use of accessibility tools present on iOS and Android phones.

Leaders also took the opportunity to have a dinner at Vrakas in the square of Pissouri, where participants themselves will most likely have dinner on the first day of activities, serving as an introductory to Cypriot cuisine

The Youth Exchange will take place in Pissouri, from the 25th of May until 4th of June 2025, with 48 youngsters (ages from 15 to 22) and 12 leaders (6 youngsters and 2 leaders from each organization).
