Evaluation Paragraphs from participants
Dalia Kaassamany: Our Erasmus+ program in Cyprus was an unforgettable experience! As a team leader, I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the transformative power of cultural exchange and collaboration. We immersed ourselves in new cultures, savoured delicious local cuisine, and enjoyed vibrant traditional dances during the cultural night. It was incredible to see participants embracing each other's differences and forming lasting bonds. What struck me most was the impact of our mindfulness activities, which provided a safe space for participants to express themselves freely. Whether through art, dance, or conversation, everyone had the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings. As a leader, I was humbled to listen and motivate our team, fostering an environment where everyone felt valued, heard, and supported. This experience reinforced the importance of empathy, understanding, and self-expression in building a more peaceful and harmonious world. I witnessed participants growing in confidence, overcoming challenges, and developing meaningful connections with one another. The program's focus on peace and healthy lifestyles resonated deeply, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this incredible journey. As I reflect on our time in Cyprus, I'm reminded of the program's lasting impact. The memories, lessons, and friendships formed will stay with me forever. I'm proud to have been a part of this experience and look forward to seeing the positive changes it will bring to our lives and communities.
Busayna Abou Aly: Participating in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "Peace and Healthy Lifestyle for All" was a transformative experience. Engaging with young people from diverse backgrounds through meaningful activities and reflection sessions helped me grow both personally and emotionally. The exchange deepened my understanding of myself and others, proving that Erasmus+ is more than a program it's a life-changing journey that leaves a lasting impact.
Omar Daou: Being part of Peheli Youth Exchange in Cyprus as the Lebanese team leader wasn't just a role—it was a responsibility wrapped in trust, culture, and quiet resilience. I walked in with a group of young people carrying stories from Lebanon—some heavy, some hopeful—and watched them unfold, connect, and transform. Peheli wasn't about polished speeches or perfect answers. It was about showing up honestly. Our team shared meals, music, and moments that didn't need translation. We laughed through awkward icebreakers, cried during tough conversations, and built something real—across languages, borders, and assumptions. As a leader, I didn't stand in front—I stood beside. I helped my team find their voice, not echo mine. I saw them step into their own power: leading workshops, challenging stereotypes, and offering perspectives that made others pause and rethink. That's the kind of leadership Peheli nurtures—not loud, but lasting. Cyprus gave us space to breathe, reflect, and reimagine. It reminded me that youth work isn't about fixing—it's about listening, witnessing, and walking together. I left with more questions than answers, and that's a good thing. It means the dialogue is alive. To the organizers, facilitators, and every participant: thank you for holding space with care. Peheli wasn't just an exchange—it was a glimpse of the world we're trying to build. And I'm proud that the Lebanese team showed up with heart, humor, and grit.
Aline Bou Hussein: My experience in Cyprus was truly unforgettable. We shared so many fun and creative activities from painting on rocks to playing sports together, even trying blindfolded painting which was meaningful. The painting activities gave me a chance to express myself and connect with others in a new way. What made it even more special were the intercultural nights where every country presented its traditions, food, and culture that felt like traveling the world in one place and created such a beautiful sense of unity. As a result,I came back with a heart full of joy and new friendships I'll always treasure.
Eva Amatoury: The workshop was a truly enriching experience. It provided young people with a deeper awareness about the many forms of discrimination that exist in our daily lives. Through interactive plays, participants re-enacted real-life situations, learning not only to recognize them but also to reflect on how they can step in and make a positive change. In addition, the blindfolded painting activity offered a unique mindfulness exercise, allowing participants to explore and express their emotions creatively. The combination of awareness, creativity, and self-expression made the workshop both impactful and memorable.
Daniella Salloum: Participating in the Erasmus+ youth exchange in Cyprus was a truly transformative experience for me. It gave me the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone, connect with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and gain a deeper understanding of teamwork and collaboration on an international level. The program not only enriched my knowledge through engaging workshops and discussions but also allowed me to build lasting friendships with inspiring young people from across Europe. I especially appreciated how the activities combined learning with creativity, making every session both fun and impactful.
Beyond the skills I gained—such as communication, problem-solving, and leadership—the exchange encouraged me to reflect on important social issues and how we, as youth, can contribute positively to our communities. Living and working together in Cyprus created an environment of respect, openness, and shared growth that I will always carry with me.
This experience has motivated me to stay active in international projects and to continue promoting the values of Erasmus+: inclusion, diversity, and lifelong learning. I am grateful for the opportunity and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking personal growth, new perspectives, and unforgettable memories.
Rana Ghadban: Participating in the Peace and Healthy Lifestyle youth exchange was truly an amazing experience for me. I enjoyed meeting people from different countries, learning about their cultures, and sharing meaningful moments together. Representing Lebanon with my team was a proud and enriching experience that allowed me to exchange ideas and traditions while building strong connections. I also loved Cyprus—the hosting organization was outstanding, and everything from the accommodation and food to the activities and facilitators was perfectly organized. This project gave me valuable knowledge, unforgettable memories, and friendships that I will always cherish.
